For the nearly 1 out of every 8 Americans/10 million people who suffer
from Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) social situations can bring with it a sense of dread not cheer. Social Anxiety Disorder is
much more than shyness, it is a debilitating disorder that can disrupt
a person's daily life and relationships (work & personal) to the point
that they become sick with worry.
A free two-hour introductory, educational workshop intended for those
who believe they may suffer from Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) will be
offered on:
- Wednesday, November 3, 2005 from 1PM-3PM
- Wednesday, December 7, 2005 from 5PM-7PM
- Thursday, To Be Announced from 3PM-5PM
- Wednesday, To Be Announced from 6PM-8PM
Richard A. Preuit,
M.A., LMFT-- Foothills Counseling Group, will conduct these workshops
located at 444 E. Huntington Drive, Suite 333 located in Arcadia.
Attendees will not be put on the spot during the workshop they are informational
and NOT therapy. All participants will receive free a educational pamphlet
on Social Anxiety Disorder, have the opportunity to complete a social
anxiety inventory to help screen for possible SAD and view a video Social Anxiety Disorder. Also, covered will be brief introduction to the specialized 14-16 week CCBT groups for the
treatment of SAD that are offered throughout the year. To register
